« Les jeunes ne doivent plus céder et se courber face aux intimidations, aux exploitations de l’homme par l’homme, aux tortures de ce monde ; plutôt changer de vision et marcher par vigilance», sont des propos émis ce vendredi 25 août 2023, à l’occurrence de l’ouverture des journées dédiées aux jeunes, organisées par l’Eglise Catholique.
C’est sous le thème « Je suis jeune, je me distingue », patronné par le Père Jacques MUTIMANWA, que l’Eglise catholique en ville de Goma ouvre les Journées Paroissiales des Jeunes-JPJ Édition 2023. Cette fois, c’est le tour de la Paroisse Notre Dame du Mont Carmel, où Monsieur Balthazar LUTALA, Orateur du jour et Chargé des questions électorales au sein de la CARITAS Goma, invite les jeunes à la vigilance dans ce monde de nouvelles idéologies et en perpétuel changement. Il hait ces députés qui n’exercent pas leur rôle :
« Chers jeunes, je vous appelle à la vigilance, à la perception de la nouvelle vision. Ne soyez pas trompés par ces députés qui, après cinq ans au pouvoir, ils vous amènent des corbillards, des bus de cérémonie ou présentent un certain charisme et cajole avec de l’argent,[…] au lieu de répondre aux attentes de la population, comme la promotion de la santé et le secteur de l’éducation », s’est-il exprimé.
Plus de 1000 jeunes sont attendus pour ces trois jours. Pour Madame Solange NTAKWINJA, Première dame animatrice paroissiale alors engagée à la PND Mont Carmel, veut voir les parents accompagner leurs enfants à matérialiser le thème du jour :
« Je suis tout d’abord heureuse de voir un engouement de jeunes assez nombreux que ceux du forum des jeunes récemment assigné. Aujourd’hui , il faudrait que les parents accompagnent leurs enfants à être les stars de Jésus-Christ. Nous devons les apprendre à s’aimer mutuellement, à bannir la violence, la haine, à s’abstenir des abus et anti valeurs dans cette société ». 
Plusieurs sous-thèmes relatifs à cette période spéciale des jeunes sont orientés pédagogiquement vers la prise de conscience de la jeunesse.
