À Panzi dans la Commune d’Ibanda, deux incidents de braquage ont été enregistrés au cours du mois de janvier 2024.
Selon Guillain BISIMWA, Rapporteur de la Société Civile Forces Vives sous noyau de Panzi, le dernier cas a eu lieu le 29 janvier 2024. Amani Hamuli Nelson a été attaqué par des bandits armés non identifiés, présumés membres du groupe de jeunes appelé POPO Solution.
La victime, qui effectuait un transfert d’argent à l’Essence Major-Vangu, a été dépossédée de sa mallette contenant une somme importante avant que les assaillants ne disparaissent.
La Société Civile Forces Vives sous noyau de Panzi lance un cri d’alarme, appelant les autorités à intervenir rapidement pour assurer la sécurité de la population. Elle demande également aux parents dont les enfants font partie du réseau criminel POPO de les retirer avant qu’ils ne soient soumis à la rigueur de la loi.
