Le maire de Goma, Faustin Kapend Kamand, a pris la décision controversée de suspendre les prières et intercessions sur les collines de la ville pour des raisons sécuritaires. Cette décision a provoqué une inquiétude totale dans le chef de nombreux fidèles et responsables de confessions religieuses, qui y voient une entrave à leur liberté de culte.
Le maire de Goma justifie sa décision par la situation sécuritaire précaire dans les zones proches de sa juridiction, marquée par des affrontements entre les FARDC et les rebelles du M23. Il craint que ces rassemblements religieux ne soient la cible d’attaques de l’ennemi. le maire de la ville suspend ses activités sur des collines jusqu’à nouvel ordre
Ces informations sont contenues dans un communiqué datant de ce mercredi 14 Février 2024 où le Maire de Goma s’adresse aux responsables des confessions religieuses .
Dans ce communiqué, l’autorité urbaine, informe à tous les Responsables des confessions religieuses dont les fidèles fréquentent les différentes collines pour la prière et l’intercession que pour des raisons sécuritaires cette activité est suspendue jusqu’à nouvel ordre.
“Ainsi, aucun ne sera autorisé d’escalader une quelconque colline pour la prière dès l’audition du présent communiqué. Les services de l’ordre et de sécurité sont instruits quant à ce”, insiste le maire dans le communiqué.
Un communiqué qui fâche nombreux chrétiens et responsables de confessions religieuses de la Villes de Goma. Pour certains chrétiens fidèles de confessions religieuses qui se sont exprimés à Au pic de l’info ce même jour dans la soirée, sécuriser la ville de GOMA c’est bien, mais Dieu est l’unique solution aux problèmes de l’Est de la Rdc. « Nous y allons pour demander à Dieu de nous protéger car Dieu réussi là où les hommes ont échoué. Pensez-vous que l’insécurité se trouve sur les montagnes? » S’interroge l’un de fidèles chrétiens qui pris à la Montagne Cclk.
Notons que la cité de saké dans le territoire de Masisi s’est vidée de ses habitants suite aux affrontements entre les FARDC et les rebelles du M23 ce derniers temps dans la périphérie et les montagnes surplombant cette cité située dans le groupement kamuronza.
