Ismael Matungu, le correspondant de la Radio Tayna et du média en ligne Au Pic de l’Info, a dénoncé ces atrocités à travers ses reportages. Cependant, son acte de bravoure l’a placé au centre de menaces inquiétantes qui pèsent sur sa vie.
Depuis le début du mois de septembre 2023, la cité de sake situé dans le groupement Kamuronza en territoire de masisi et ses environs ont été secoués par une série de meurtres , dont les auteurs présumés sont les Wazalendu, lesquels actes criminelles qui semblent échapper à la justice congolaise.
Ismael Matungu, un journaliste de la Radio Sake FM, dans sa profession journalistique s’est engagé de travailler sur les faits de la communauté et surtout sur les cas des meurtres en répétition dans cette partie de la province. En tant que correspondant de la Radio Tayna et du média en ligne Au Pic de l’Info, il a utilisé son influence médiatique pour exposer les atrocités commises par les Wazalendu, malgré les risques personnels évidents.
Ce chevalier de la plume a diffusé des reportages détaillés sur les meurtres et les tracasseries des Wazalendu, mettant ainsi en lumière l’ampleur de l’insécurité qui sévit dans la cité.
Cependant, cette bravoure n’est pas sans conséquences pour Ismael Matungu. Depuis qu’il a commencé à dénoncer les meurtres, il a été la cible de menaces constantes de la part des Wazalendu et de leurs complices présumés. Sa vie est désormais en danger, alors qu’il ne fait que son travail de journaliste, en quête de vérité et de justice pour sa communauté.
« Il ya des jeunes wazalendu que je connais ici à sake , alors à tout moment quand je fais mon reportage sur les meurtres dont de les wazalendu sont auteurs, ils me disent de faire attention car selon eux c’est moi qui propage la mauvaise image de Wazalendu de sake. La fois dernière ils m’ont fait encore un avertissement quand je me rendais à Mubambiro où un jeune avait été tué par balles. 3 parmi l’equipe se sont approchés de moi et m’ont dit, Ismaël, tu vois comment tu propages notre mauvaise image? Pourtant sont les éléments Fardc qui tuent la popaltion, ils m’ont fait encore une mise en garde disant que si je continue je veux voir, vraiment j’ai peur pour ma sécurité car ces wazalendu sont la plupart des jeunes d’ici qui me connaissent très bien » a témoigné Ismaël Matungulu.
Le président du Parlement des Jeunes du groupement Kamoronza, Kikandi Shabahanga, a également confirmé la persistance des meurtres dans la citéde Sake, avec le dernier cas survenu la nuit du samedi au dimanche 24 septembre 2023. Ces événements macabres ne font que renforcer la nécessité de mettre un terme à l’impunité des auteurs et de garantir la sécurité des journalistes comme Ismael Matungu, qui osent dénoncer ces crimes.
Notons que ce professionnel de media, appelle maintenant les autorités compétentes à tous les niveaux à garantir sa sécurité et à agir rapidement pour mettre fin à l’insécurité persistante à Sake et dans ses environs.
