NORD-KIVU/Processus électoral : Search for Common Ground forme des communicateurs à Goma pour des élections apaisées

Une vingtaine des communicateurs  participent dans une session de réflexion autours de la question électorale à Goma, ce 28 novembre 2023. Cette assise organisée par Search for Common Ground (SFCG), vient après une série de formation au courent de l’année en cours  de communicateurs à Goma, kinshasa et Lubumbashi en République démocratique du Congo.

Cette session de réflexion intervient dans le cadre de son projet « Promouvoir une communication transparente et efficace à l’approche des élections présidentielles en République démocratique du Congo« .

Cette dernière vise à renforcer les capacités des communicateurs locaux pour qu’ils puissent diffuser et partager des informations factuelles et objectives sur le processus électoral.

Dans la salle, les communicateurs issus de groupes de pression , société civile, parti politique et la presse ont discuté sur plusieurs questions de la mise en oeuvre du projet notamment :

-l’identification de défis rencontrés sur terrain et comment y remédier avant les élections du 29 décembre 2023,

– L’impact de la communication de communicateurs sur terrain après la formation let,

-Des leçons apprises dans ce processus électoral contrairement en 2018.

Les communicateurs pendant cette période du processus électoral en RDC, devraient lutter contre la désinformation et la promotion de la participation citoyenne. Les participants apprennent également à utiliser les médias sociaux et les autres plateformes de communication pour diffuser des informations fiables.

« La communication est essentielle pour garantir des élections pacifiques et inclusives, bannir les discours, promouvoir la paix et le vivre ensemble « , a déclaré l’un de formateurs à cette session de reflexion de SFCG à Goma.

Ce dernier ajouté que la formation des communicateurs locaux pendant cette période, est un élément majeur qui pour contribuer à la création d’un environnement meilleure lors de votre qui est un exercice démocratique.

Les participants à la formation sont issus d’une variété de milieux, notamment des médias, des organisations de la société civile, de politiciens et des institutions gouvernementales. Ils sont tous déterminés à jouer un rôle dans la promotion d’élections pacifiques en RDC.

Notons que la formation de SFCG est un important investissement dans la promotion de la paix et de la démocratie en RDC pendant cette période du processus électoral. En formant des communicateurs locaux, SFCG contribue à créer un environnement propice à des élections apaisées et inclusives sur tout dans la partie Est de la Rdc où depuis plusieurs mois, Les Forces loyalistes et les groupes d’autodéfenses dits Wazalendo s’affrontent aux rebelles du M23 soutenu par le Rwanda.
