Trois civils ont été tués dans la soirée du mercredi 3 janvier par des hommes armés dans le village de Gashavu, en groupement Bukombo Dans la chefferie de Bwito, territoire de Rutshuru, dans l’est de la République démocratique du Congo.
Selon des sources locales, les victimes, deux hommes et une femme, ont été surpris dans la brousse où elles passaient la nuit, craignant la dégradation de la situation sécuritaire dans leur village. Elles ont été abattues par des hommes armés non identifiés.
L’organisation de défense des droits de l’homme BADILIKA a attribué ce massacre à la coalition du mouvement de l’alliance fleuve Congo (MAFC) et des rebelles du M23, qui contrôlent la zone.
« Ces civils ont été surpris par les éléments de cette coalition et ils ont été lâchement tués« , a déclaré Nguka patrick secrétaire exécutif de BADILIKA. « La situation sécuritaire reste difficile dans le Rutshuru, car l’ennemi continue à se renforcer en munitions. Au-delà du Rutshuru, cette coalition se renforce en hommes autour de Rubaya et dans plusieurs entités de Masisi. »
Les habitants de cette partie du Rutshuru sont contraints de passer la nuit dans la forêt par crainte pour leur sécurité.
BADILIKA a appelé le gouvernement congolais à tout faire pour libérer les territoires occupés par le M23.
