Le Groupe d’action assemblée pour la Résilience juvénile GAARJ en sigle, a organisé ce dimanche 16 Avril 2023 son 6ème rendez-vous Sikiliza dans la ville de Goma en province du Nord-kivu. Cette organisation, qui vise à renforcer la résilience juvénile, a choisi de se servir de l’art comme moyen de conscientisation de la population congolaise à l’approche des élections de 2023.
Selon les organisateurs de cette activité, c’est depuis trois ans maintenant, que GAARJ produit ce rendez-vous Sikiliza, qui consiste en des spectacles,des slam, des débats et des échanges avec la communauté pour la faire réfléchir sur des sujets d’actualité. Cette année, le thème choisi était le contexte électoral en RDC, un sujet brûlant alors que les élections présidentielles et législatives approchent à grands pas.
En effet, pour cette 6ème édition, le GAARJ a mis l’accent sur l’utilisation de l’art pour toucher une audience plus large et plus diversifiée. Des slams, des chansons, des pièces de théâtre et une danse contemporaine ont été présentés, tous ayant pour but de sensibiliser la population aux défis que rencontre l’appareil électoral du pays et dirigeants qui veulent encore chercher de voix ausein de la communauté.
Pour Christophe AMISI membre du groupe, la pièce phare de cette édition s’appelle « Le bétail électoral », qui essaie de décrire les dysfonctionnements de l’appareil électoral congolais, le manque de confiance de la population envers ce dernier, ainsi que le problème avec l’enrôlement. Ce concept a été inspiré de la chronique de Alain Foka, « L’échec de la démocratie en Afrique », qui décrit certains dirigeants qui considèrent la population comme du bétail électoral.
« Le GAARJ ne se contente pas de produire ces spectacles, mais va plus loin en organisant des campagnes de sensibilisation dans les marchés, les écoles, les universités et les lieux publics de la ville de Goma, mais également dans les environs comme la cité de Sake et le territoire de Nyiragongo. L’objectif est de toucher une audience plus large, y compris celle qui ne fréquente pas les salles de spectacles » a poursuivi ChristopheAMISI au sortir de la salle du spectacle ancienne alliance Francaise en face de l’égliseNéo Apostolique Mabanga-sud.
Notons que malgré le contexte de la guerre à l’Est de la RDC, le GAARJ contnue d’tiliser sa stratégie de l’art comme un moyen de sensibilisation efficace pour conscientiser la population congolaise à l’approche des élections de 2023. C’est un bel exemple de l’importance de la culture et de l’art dans la construction d’une société plus résiliente et plus engagée, a laissé entendre l’un des participants.
