MASISI/SÉCURITÉ : Les habitants de Sake réveillés par des détonations d’armes lourdes

Les combats entre le Mouvement du 23 Mars (M23) et les résistants patriotes dits Wazalendo se sont intensifiés ce samedi 27 janvier dans l’axe Karuba, au niveau de Bushuwe, et sur l’antenne en chefferie des Bahunde, territoire de Masisi.

Selon des sources locales, les combats ont débuté aux premières heures de la matinée et se concentrent principalement dans l’avenue Mandela, à Bushuhe, en direction de la colline Muremure.

Des détonations de tirs d’armes lourdes et des fortes explosions ont été entendues par les habitants de Sake, située à une dizaine de kilomètres de la zone des combats.

Les autorités locales n’ont pas encore communiqué de bilan des pertes humaines et matérielles.

Ces combats interviennent alors que le territoire de Masisi est déjà en proie à une insécurité chronique depuis plusieurs années. Le M23, soutenu par le Rwanda selon Kinshasa, a repris les armes en novembre 2022, après un accord de paix signé en 2013.

Signalons que l’armée congolaise via un communiqué, a condamné la stratégie du M23 qui largue des bombes dans les cités densément habités , selon les Fardc , le M23 a lancé à l’aveuglette plusieurs bombes dans la cité de Mwesso tuant 19 civils et 27 blessés.
