A l’occasion de la Journée mondiale de la diversité culturelle pour le dialogue et le développement ce mardi 21 mai 2024, l’organisation Afrika Inclusion a organisé une conférence-débat à l’Institut supérieur de commerce de Goma. L’objectif de cette activité était de sensibiliser les étudiants à l’importance de la diversité culturelle et de son rôle dans la promotion de la paix et du développement durable.
La conférence-débat était placée sous le thème : « Ensemble dans la diversité, bâtissons et consolidons un avenir de paix ».
Freddy Bikumbi, secrétaire exécutif d’Afrika Inclusion, a souligné dans son discours que la diversité culturelle est une richesse qu’il faut chérir et préserver.
« Nous, notre organisation vise à promouvoir la diversité dans des communautés, dans toutes les sphères de la société afin qu’il y ait l’invisibilité de tout un chacun pour retrouver la paix ». L’organisation veut amener tout le monde à accepter l’autre.
« Bien que nous semblons être différents, mais nous sommes un à l’image de Dieu. Nous avons choisi les étudiants aujourd’hui car c’est une classe qui montre l’avenir de chercher et c’est la Jeunesse aussi, la jeunesse pour nous , c’est le socle pour le développement de notre pays et que le Nord-Kivu Kivu a besoin de l’inclisivité de toutes les communautés et de toutes les couches » a poursuivi le secrétaire exécutif de l’organisation
Il a appelé les jeunes à s’engager dans la promotion du dialogue interculturel et de l’inclisivité afin de bâtir une société plus pacifique et prospère.
Le chef de division provincial de la jeunesse au Nord-Kivu, Guy Kibira, a quant à lui exhorté les jeunes à profiter de la richesse de la diversité culturelle de la République démocratique du Congo. Il a rappelé que cette diversité est un atout précieux pour le pays et qu’elle doit être utilisée pour promouvoir la paix et le développement.
Selon l’UNESCO, 89 % de tous les conflits actuels ont lieu dans des pays où le dialogue interculturel est faible. Ces statistiques soulignent l’importance de promouvoir le dialogue et la compréhension mutuels entre les différentes cultures afin de prévenir les conflits et de favoriser la paix.
M. Jean-Pierre Kyembwa, orateur du jour, a félicité Afrika Inclusion pour son engagement dans la promotion de la paix et du dialogue interculturel. Il a également remercié les étudiants pour leur participation active à la conférence-débat. L’orateur Kyembwa a conclu son discours en lançant un message d’espoir à la jeunesse congolaise : « Ensemble, nous pouvons construire un avenir meilleur pour notre pays, un avenir fondé sur la paix, le respect et la compréhension mutuels. »
Notons que plusieurs leaders des groupes armés à l’est de la RDC devraient être outillé sur l’importance de la diversité culturelle car chacun prend les armes avec motif de protéger sa communauté, précise Afrika Inclusion.
