Du 13 au 15 Juin 2024 aura lieu une nouvelle campagne de vaccination dans les 34 Zones de santé en province. Les enfants de 0 à 59 mois recevront le vaccin VPO contre la poliomyélite, ceux de 6 à 59 mois la Vitamine A et ceux de 12 à 59 mois l’Albendazole, ces deux derniers seront accompagnés par le Pronanut [Ndrl : Programme National de la Nutrition]. Ceci vient du Docteur Stéphan Hans Batey, coordonateur du Programme élargi à la vaccination après la réunion du comité provinciale de coordination de la campagne au cabinet du gouverneur.
Après la réunion de la coordination de la préparation de la campagne de vaccination, assises tenues avec la conseillère du Gouverneur de Province en matière de santé Madame Prisca Luanda Kamala, les autorités sanitaires sont revenues sur plusieurs points en rapport avec la vaccination en province. Pour cette campagne, les 34 Zones de santé seront concernées. Le Dr Stephan a indiqué aussi que plus de 400 000 enfants déplacés seront aussi concernés par cette grande campagne de vaccination.
Selon lui, cette réunion avec la représentante de l’autorité provinciale a aussi porté sur la préparation technique en terme des inputs, des intrants et des ressources financières. Celui-ci a confirmé l’arrivée des doses de vaccin dans certaines zones et, le processus se poursuit dans les zones restantes.
Pour la rupture des stocks de certains vaccins observés dans les structures de soins, le Dr Hans a signalé que certains réglages techniques sont sur le point de finissage et d’ici là les stocks seront disponibles. Celui-ci a insisté sur le fait que les parents des enfants en conflit avec la vaccination en plus de ceux qui ont suivi le calendrier sont appelé à les préparer pour recevoir leurs doses.
