Plusieurs déplacés venus de KAZAROHO et d’autres villages affectés par les récents combats entre les rebelles du M23 et les combattants Rwandais de FDLRS et qui sont regroupés dans le village de KIRUMBA en groupement BAMBU passent des moments difficile.
Depuis le lundi 09 janvier dernier, la majeure partie de la population de KIRUMBA et des villages environnants n’accèdent pas à leurs champs. Les déplacés n’ont pas reçu d’assistance jusqu’à présent. Selon nos sources surplace à KIRUMBA, le village est actuellement enclavé et manque de tout. Les centres de santé n’ont pas de stock de médicament et les déplacés manquent d’abris.
Notre source rapporte qu’il y a eu également des cas de pillages de biens, et des enlèvements enregistrés ce jeudi 12 janvier. Cette population sollicite de l’aide auprès des bienfaiteurs car actuellement il n’y a aucune garantie sécuritaire pouvant permettre aux déplacés de regagner leurs villages.
« La situation continue à se dégrader, jusqu’à maintenant les agriculteurs qui campaient dans les champs arrivent en masse ici à Kirumba, ils viennent se concentrer ici et le nombre de déplacés augmente, ils passent nuit de dans des écoles, églises et d’autres construits de petites maisons en bâche pour y passer nuit. Du coté organisationnel rien n’est encore fait jusqu’à présent, vous savez nous sommes dans une zone très purement isolée, il ya plusieurs jours l’organisation de la Croix rouge nous avez apporté de Médicaments qui aussi sont déjà épuisés, donc tomber malade ici signifie directement la mort car les médicaments ne sont plus visible dans nos structures sanitaires, nous sommes ici sans assistance, vous savez l’endroit où les affrontements se sont déroulés, c’est un endroit purement agricole et donc les produits champêtres sont restés sur le lieu, nous vivons en difficultés ici » témoigne un déplacé sur place à Kirumba.
Notons que les rebelles du M23 ont attaqués la position de FDLR au niveau de KAZAROHO la journée de lundi 9janvier 2023, une situation qui a occasionné un deplacement massif de la population vers Kirumba.
