Le Général Major Peter Cirimwami vient de lancer les travaux de pavage en pierres taillées des plusieurs rues dans des avenues en commune de Karisimbi et Goma ce 18 Août 2024.
Les avenues Mulongwe, Muchacha en Commune de Karisimbe et Maniema en commune de Goma auront un niveau visage dans certains de leurs coins. Cette œuvre rentre dans la vision du Gouverneur militaire de province qui veut d’une ville moderne.
A l’issue de ces activités, c’est un total de 2 130 mètres linéaires qui seront remis au bénéfice de la population.
Selon Timothée Sumaïli, Directeur Général de L’office des Voiries et des Drainages, OVD en sigle, ces travaux permettront de désenclaver les avenues concernées. «Les travaux lancés aujourd’hui sont d’une importance capitale car ils permettent… pour l’Avenue Mulongwe de relier la RN2 en passant par la maison communale de Karisimbi, siège des institutions municipales pour une longueur de 670m; pour l’Avenue Muchacha, de relier la RN2 Saké à l’avenue Katoy pour une longueur totale de 750m; Dans la commune de Karisimbi. Et enfin pour l’Avenue Maniema de relier la RN2 Sake à la paroisse Mont Carmel pour une longueur de 750m…» a-t-il dit.
Pour le Gouverneur de Province qui a lance ces travaux, la nouvelle politique de «Production-Gestion » doit porter des fruits qui mettent la population au centre. Il a expliqué que la vision de moderniser les quartiers de Goma concerne toutes les parties; «Nous avons lancé beaucoup de chantiers dans la commune de Goma et il y a eu des plaintes du côté de Karisimbi. Nous avons voulu répondre à la population qu’elle n’est pas oubliée, que nous sommes avec elle dans le cadre de la modernisation de la ville en matérialisant la vision du Chef de l’Etat… qui veut voir les villes modernisées et les territoires… » a indiqué le numéro de la province.
Il sied de noter que plusieurs travaux de développement sont en cours et dont certains tendent à leur fin cela 7 mois seulement après l’arrivée du Général Major Pete Cirimwami à la tête du Nord Kivu.
