Des sources concordantes annoncent la mort par balle de celui-ci à Mungo, un village situé entre Mushaki et Kamuronza en chefferie de Bahunde. Ndagije a été tué quand il venait du marché de Mushaki en direction de son habitation .
Les mobiles de son décès ne sont pas élucidés à cet instant précisent ces sources.
Les habitants de ce village indiquent que ce fait n’est pas le premier du genre. Ils déplorent cette situation d’insécurité dans et appellent les services de sécurité à des enquêtes pour bien identifier les auteurs de ce crime. Ces derniers demandent aux autorités compétentes de s’occuper de la sécurité des populations et des leurs biens pendant cette période.
