La Société Civile du groupement de Mumosho, dans le territoire de kabare, exprime sa condamnation envers l’exploitation des enfants dans les carrières de pierres à Nyantende, dans le territoire de Kabare au Sud-Kivu.
Dans une interview nous accordée ce 02 Février, elle souligne que les mineurs endurent des conditions inhumaines susceptibles d’engendrer des séquelles graves sur leur santé physique et mentale, attribuant cette situation à l’inaction des autorités locales, qui selon elle, font fi de cette réalité qui expose la nouvelle génération.
La Société Civile observe une hausse du nombre d’enfants travaillant dans ces carrières, liée au développement des activités de construction et à une demande croissante de pierres sur le marché.
Pascal Aganze, président de la Société Civile de Mumosho, appelle les autorités à décourager et sanctionner ceux qui exploitent ces enfants, contribuant ainsi à la détérioration du taux d’analphabétisme dans la région.
Il demande instamment aux autorités de faciliter l’accès à l’éducation dans la zone, visant à protéger les jeunes des dangers liés à ces carrières. Cette organisation en profite pour appeler à l’interpellation des responsables des atteintes contre les droits des enfants.
Signalons que l’exploitation des enfants dans les carrières de pierres engendre des conséquences dévastatrices, induisant des conditions inhumaines qui menacent leur santé physique et mentale.
La loi di 01 Janvier 2009 portant protection de l’enfant dispose à ses articles 196 et 197 sur l’interdiction d’accès aux enfants dans des carrières, chose qui malheureusement semble rester que dans des livres de droit.
